After your flight arrival at Faro Airport follow this visual instructions to reach Airauto's facilities.

2. Can I pick up or return the vehicle at a different place other than Faro Airport?

No. All car rentals with Airauto are collected and returned at Faro Airport.

3. What is the minimum age required to rent a car with Airauto?

The minimum age to rent a car in Portugal is 18 years old and the driver must hold a full license for minimum 2 year with no major endorsements. If the driver is under 21 years old a young driver daily charge will be applied to your car rental. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (i.e. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver's license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present both the photo card and its paper counterpart at the time of rental.

4. Can I eliminate the excess fee in my car rental contract insurance?

Yes. To do so you must select the Super Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (SCDW) when booking your vehicle in step 3.

5. Can I drive to Spain or other countries in Europe?

You are only allowed to drive in Spain if you select the extra insurance for Spain in the booking form. Other countries beside Portugal and Spain are not allowed.

6. What is the Airauto's fuel policy?

Pick up full, return full. Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full. Missing fuel will be charged on your return.

7. What are the payments methods supported by Airauto?

We accept cash (Euros only) and Credit Card.

8. What does the the standard insurance include?

Standard Airauto's Faro Airport car hire insurance includes: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess fee according to the vehicle type; Third Party liability (TP); Theft Waiver (TW) and breakdown assistance. The excess fee is shown in the car listing (step 2) under rating details & conditions.

9. Do you provide GPS satellite navigation?

No. GPS is not available for rent.

10. Do you provide roof racks?

No. Roof racks are not available.

11. Can I request a diesel vehicle?

Yes. When choosing your car rental type, select diesel.

12. Can I request an automatic vehicle?

Yes. When choosing your car rental type, select automatic.

13. How do I make changes to my booking?

If you wish to alter any details from your online booking, send us an email with your booking ID and the respective changes.

14. Do you provide baby seats and booster seats?

Yes. In the booking form you can choose them as extras in your car rental. The respective prices are also show in the booking form when you select them.

15. Can I rent a car with more than one driver assigned?

Yes. When booking your car rental in step3, select the amount of additional drivers you want. An extra price per rental contract will be charged for each additional driver.
