General Conditions
Car Types
All vehicles displayed and models listed on our website are examples of similar cars that may be provided. We cannot guarantee that the make or model of the rental vehicle will be the same as the vehicle displayed on our website when you make your online booking. We only guarantee the it will be a similar vehicle with the same characteristics.
Drivers Age and Drivers License
The minimum age to rent a car in Portugal is 18 years old and the driver must hold a full license for minimum 2 year with no major endorsements. If the driver is under 21 years old a young driver charge of 40EUR will be applied to your car rental contract. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (i.e. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver's license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present both the photo card and its paper counterpart at the time of rental.
Additional Drivers
All additional drivers in your car rental contract must comply with same rules stated in the previous point.
Car Accidents
In case of accident its mandatory to call the authorities and always fill an accident report (with or without fault). If the driver is proven to be under the influence of alcohol and / or narcotics, he / she will be required to pay all the costs of any damage occurred.
Driver Negligence
Any damage to the vehicle done by driver’s negligence (burn clutch, damage due the driving on unsealed roads, parking the car on high sidewalk curbs, etc.) will be charged to the client for the full amount of the repair cost.
Wrong Fuel
If client uses the wrong fuel while filling the car, the client will be charged for the full amount of the repair cost.
Parking and Speeding Fines
Parking and speeding fines plus an administration fee of 20EUR will be charged to the client.
Condition of Vehicle Interior
If the client returns the car in an unacceptable state and the interior of the vehicle is unacceptable dirty and in need extra cleaning or repair costs (cigarette burns on seating, etc.), the client will be charged for the full amount for cleaning and/or repair cost.
Personal Accidents
Personal accident insurance is not included in your car rental.
Car Documents Loss
If the client looses or doesn't have the car documents upon car return, we will charge the client 100EUR to obtain new documents.
Out of hours collect and return
Car collects and returns before 08:00 AM and after 20:00 PM are charged 20EUR. If you choose to collect or return the car out of hours, the prices shown in the website already include the respective charges.
Insurance Coverage
Standard rates include Collision Damage Waiver. The CDW as an excess according to the car category. The client can eliminate the excess fee by paying the Super CDW according to the car category. The Super CDW does not cover damaged tyres, broken windows, forced locks and damages underneath the car. The client can purchase insurance for this coverage by selecting the TWL insurance when booking the car rental. TWL prices also vary according to the vehicle category. Personal accident insurance is not included in your car rental.
Fuel Policy
You must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel when it was collected. Missing fuel will be charged on your return.

Cross Border Travel
Cross border travel allowed only to Spain. Extra Insurance for Spain will be charged.
Payment Method (Driver must have one of the following credit cards when collecting vehicle)
American Express, MasterCard, Visa. Car rentals can be paid for by either credit card or debit card. A credit card in the driver's name will be required at the rental desk. This is because a deposit is required, which is held on the credit card until the vehicle is returned. Always ensure that the card has sufficient credit available at the time of rental. The amount authorized is generally the insurance excess and the fuel deposit, but it varies depending upon the size of the vehicle and the age of the driver. In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card or lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card, car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle.
