What is the minimum age required to rent a car with Airauto?
The minimum age to rent a car in Portugal is 18 years old. The driver must hold a full license for at least 2 years with no major infringements. If the driver is under 24, a young driver fee will be applied. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver’s license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present driver’s license and photo at the time of rental.
