This Privacy Policy describes how Airauto handles the personal data of its customers.
Our privacy policy complies with the provisions of the applicable legislation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”). It applies to data collected from our customers via the website, information collected by the reservations department or via agencies and tour operators.
By using our website or contacting us for the use of services you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in this privacy policy.

At the start of the contract, the customer/rentaler provides their personal data and that of the driver(s) of the vehicle, for identification purposes within the scope of the contract, and AIRAUTO expressly authorises its computer processing.

Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), AIRAUTO hereby informs you of the following:

• AIRAUTO is the entity responsible for processing the personal data provided under the contract, whose head office is at Estrada do Aeroporto, 427-A, Vale das Almas, 8005-146 Faro, Portugal;
• Pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, the processing of personal data is for the purpose of concluding and executing this car hire contract;
• Pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, personal data may be transmitted to third parties whenever it is necessary to ensure compliance with any legal obligations to which AIRAUTO is subject, in particular to judicial authorities, criminal police bodies, tax and customs authorities and regulatory bodies;
• Personal data may only be processed for other purposes where the data subject has given express consent to AIRAUTO;
• AIRAUTO will keep the personal data processed for the period necessary for the provision of services, billing and fulfilment of legal obligations.

At any time, the data subject has the right to:

• Access them, within the limits of the contract and the GDPR;
• To change them and oppose their processing;
• Decide on their automated processing;
• Withdraw consent;
• Request the deletion of data and exercise the other rights provided for in the legislation in force (except for data that is indispensable for the performance of the contract, and as such must be provided, as well as for the fulfilment of legal obligations to which AIRAUTO is subject).

If you withdraw your consent, this does not jeopardise the legitimacy of the processing carried out up to that date.
Under the terms of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to be notified in the event of a breach of their personal data that is likely to involve a high risk to their rights and freedoms, and may lodge complaints with the authority or authorities.

Personal data may be passed on to third parties that provide services to AIRAUTO, whenever such services involve the communication of data contained in hire agreements.
